The American Accents are a Brisbane jazz band, formed at the beginning of 2018, while studying together at QUT. The 5-piece band draws on influences from Snarky Puppy and Hiatus Kaiyote, creating soulful and groovy songs featuring saxophone and lots of percussion. The band has spent the last year writing, recording and performing – honing their unique sound within Brisbane’s music scene.
